How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign is an innovative way of straightening teeth. It involves wearing sets of clear custom-made aligners which should be worn for around 22 hours per day. You only remove them when eating or drinking anything other than water. These aligners are swapped out for a new, slightly altered pair every two weeks as your teeth slowly move into their optimal position. This process may take anywhere between 6 to 24 months, depending on your individual circumstance.
At the end of the process you can be left with a straighter, healthier smile. You are given a final retainer made of a strong long-lasting material which should be worn during sleep to prevent your teeth from shifting back into their original place.

Invisalign vs.
traditional braces
Traditional braces may still be a good option for some people but modern inventions like Invisalign have made it far more comfortable to straighten teeth. Traditional braces are permanently fixed to your teeth. Whereas, with. Invisalign you have the freedom to take the aligners in and out. Braces can be uncomfortable, especially when tightened. While your aligners may feel a little tight at first they should not be painful. What’s more – your mouth will be wire free!
We find that many patients are opting for Invisalign because it offers a discreet way to straighten their teeth. Braces are made from metal whereas Invisalign uses a clear material that is almost unnoticeable in your mouth.
